Why We Started
NYC Cleaning Service exists because cleaning a New York apartment is its own trade. Fifth-floor walk-ups, pre-war plaster that sheds dust all winter, radiators that bake grime onto the wall behind them, co-op boards with vendor rules, and glass towers where the freight elevator has a sign-up sheet. Most cleaning companies treat all of that as somebody else's problem.
We decided to make it our problem. That means recruiting cleaners who already know the city, teaching them one consistent method, and building our booking process around the questions that actually matter here: Is there a doorman? Which entrance does the building want vendors to use? Is there somewhere to fill a bucket besides the tub?
Our team covers Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and The Bronx, from studio rentals a block off the subway to brownstone floor-throughs and new-build condos on the waterfront. Whatever the layout, the goal is the same: you come home to a place that feels finished, not just tidied.

Everyone who walks into your apartment has passed a background check and works under our insurance. Handing a set of keys to someone you have never met is a big ask, and we treat it that way.
Consistent Work
Our cleaners follow one written checklist on every visit, so the tenth clean looks like the first. Radiator covers, baseboards and the top of the fridge get done whether or not anyone is home to notice.
On Time
Buildings run on schedules and so do we. If your doorman only lets vendors up before five, or the super needs notice to unlock the freight elevator, we plan around it and arrive when we said we would.
What You Can Count On
Booking with NYC Cleaning Service is a working agreement, and this is our side of it. We will:
- Keep a building-access note on file, so you never explain the doorman, the buzzer or the freight elevator twice
- Send cleaners who are background-checked and covered by our insurance
- Arrive inside the window we gave you, and text if the subway has other plans
- Follow the same written checklist in every room, on every visit
- Come back and redo anything you are not happy with, at no charge
Where We Clean
Our cleaners work across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and The Bronx. Doorman towers on the Upper East Side, walk-ups in Bushwick, garden apartments in Forest Hills, Riverdale co-ops with strict vendor hours: if the address is inside New York City, we can usually get there this week.
