Move-Out Cleaning That Passes the Queens Walkthrough

Every Queens lease ends the same way: a walkthrough with the landlord, the super, or the management office, and a security deposit that depends on what they find. New York requires landlords to itemize any deductions, and cleaning is the item that shows up most often. Our move-out cleaning is built to leave nothing for that list.

We clean the unit the way an inspector looks at it. The stovetop and range hood. The oven and refrigerator interiors if you add them. Every cabinet, drawer, and closet, because those are the first doors an inspector opens. The tub, the grout, and the toilet base. Baseboards, window tracks, light fixtures, door frames, and the scuffs that show once the furniture is gone. Floors last, so nobody walks on them.

Queens turnovers come in a few flavors. A rent-stabilized walk-up in Woodside where the super does the inspection and knows every corner. A management building in Flushing or Rego Park with a formal checklist. A co-op or condo sale in Forest Hills or Bayside where the contract calls for broom clean. A room in a Ridgewood share the lease holder wants back the way it was. We know what each one expects.

The math usually favors booking the clean. A move-out clean for a Queens one-bedroom runs a couple hundred dollars. A cleaning deduction from a deposit worth a month of rent can run far higher, and you have no say in how the landlord prices it. A professional clean is cheaper and more predictable, and it spares you a day of scrubbing on an exhausting weekend.

Book us for the day after the movers or the morning of the walkthrough. We arrange access with the super or management, do the work, and leave the keys where you tell us. You show up to the inspection, or skip it, and get on with the next place.

When Queens Tenants and Sellers Book a Move-Out Clean

1Lease Ends on the 31st

Movers on the 30th, our clean on the 31st, walkthrough that afternoon. Book early; the last days of the month are the busiest in Queens.

2Broom-Clean Clause in a Sale Contract

Co-op and condo contracts usually require the unit be delivered broom clean at closing. We go well past that so the buyer's walkthrough has no notes.

3Leaving a Share or a Sublet

Handing a room and a bathroom back to a lease holder or a roommate? We can clean just your part of the apartment, or the whole thing if that is the agreement.

4Clearing Out a Family Home

After a parent moves to assisted living or a house is sold, the last step after the cleanout is a full clean before the keys change hands.

Nobody in this city has spare hours for scrubbing. Between the commute, late nights at work, and weekends that fill up on their own, the apartment gets pushed down the list. A standing visit takes it off the list entirely. Choose weekly, every other week, or monthly, and we hold the slot for you. Traveling or hosting on a different day? Move the visit with a day's notice at no charge.

Why Queens Tenants Choose NYC Cleaning Service for Move-Out

Cleaned to the Inspection, Not the Eye

We work from what walkthroughs actually flag: stovetop, grout, cabinet interiors, baseboards, fixtures. Not what looks fine from the doorway.

If the Walkthrough Flags Us, We Return

If your landlord or management points to a cleaning item that was in our scope, we come back to redo it at no charge.

Access Without You

Leave keys with the super, the doorman, or a lockbox. We coordinate entry and return the keys as instructed, so there is no second trip.

Dates That Flex

Movers run late, closings slip. Tell us and we will move the appointment when we can.

Queens Move-Out Cleaning Questions

No. A move-out clean assumes the unit is empty or close to it. Junk removal is a separate service; the city's Sanitation department takes many bulk items on your regular pickup day.

Both are add-ons, and for a move-out we recommend both, since they are the two appliances every inspector opens. The stovetop, range hood, and appliance exteriors are in the standard scope.

We wipe scuff marks and fingerprints from walls, doors, and switch plates. Spackling nail holes and touch-up painting are not cleaning tasks; plan for those separately if your lease requires them.

Interior glass, sills, and tracks, yes. Exterior window washing on upper floors is not included.

Usually. If the truck is gone by mid-afternoon we can often start that day. Otherwise we come the next morning, ahead of the walkthrough.

Contact us right away with what they flagged. If it was in our scope we return to redo it, often the same day.
