Renovation Cleanup for Bronx Apartments, Houses and New Builds
Demo a pre-war wall on the Grand Concourse and you get plaster and horsehair dust that finds its way into every closet in the apartment. Cut tile in a Morris Park bathroom and there is a fine gray silica film on surfaces three rooms away. Every renovation leaves the same problem in a different form, and it is not a mess a regular cleaner is set up to handle.
We clean after all of it: kitchen and bath remodels in Pelham Bay and Throgs Neck houses, gut renovations of Concourse and Fordham apartments, basement conversions in Woodlawn, restored rowhouses on the Mott Haven historic blocks, and brand-new condo units in Port Morris that a developer needs turned over to a buyer.
Construction dust does not come off in one pass. It keeps settling for days after the last trade leaves, so a serious post-construction clean is done in stages: bulk debris and a first wipe of everything, then a detailed clean of every surface, fixture, cabinet interior and window, then a final pass on floors and glass once the air has cleared. We use HEPA vacuums and microfiber so the dust ends up in the bag, not back in the air.
New surfaces are easy to ruin. Grout haze needs the right remover, not a scouring pad. Stone counters and new hardwood need neutral cleaners. Protective film on windows and stickers on appliances come off cleanly if you know how. We match the product to the surface so nothing new gets scratched or etched.
For co-op and condo owners, the alteration agreement usually makes you responsible for the hallway, the service elevator and the stairs your contractor used. We can add the common areas to the scope so the building's super signs off without a second visit.

Timing a Post-Construction Clean in The Bronx
1Once the Last Trade Is Out
Plumber, electrician, painter, tile setter. When the final one leaves, we start. Any earlier and the dust just comes back.
2Before the Punch-List Walk
A clean unit makes chipped paint and scratched glass obvious. Do the walk after we finish, not before.
3Developer Turnover
New units in Mott Haven and Port Morris cleaned to buyer-ready standard, on the closing schedule.
4Kitchen or Bath Only
A single-room remodel still coats the whole apartment. We clean the affected rooms and the paths the dust took.
Keep the New Kitchen Looking New
Once the dust is gone, a recurring schedule keeps the renovation looking the way it did on day one
Weekly
For full households, pets, roommates, and anyone who entertains
15% OFFBi-Weekly
The rhythm most New York apartments settle into
10% OFFMonthly
A reset for studios, one-bedrooms, and tidy solo households
Quarterly
A seasonal deep clean four times a year, radiator dust included.
Nobody in this city has spare hours for scrubbing. Between the commute, late nights at work, and weekends that fill up on their own, the apartment gets pushed down the list. A standing visit takes it off the list entirely. Choose weekly, every other week, or monthly, and we hold the slot for you. Traveling or hosting on a different day? Move the visit with a day's notice at no charge.
Why Bronx Contractors and Owners Book NYC Cleaning Service
Staged, Not Single-Pass
Rough, detail and final passes, spaced so settling dust is dealt with instead of ignored.
HEPA and Microfiber
Equipment meant for fine dust. A household vacuum blows silica right back into the room.
We Know Bronx Renovations
Pre-war plaster demo, tile-heavy bathrooms, converted basements and new-build glass towers each leave a different mess.

Post-Construction Cleaning The BronxBronx Post-Construction Cleaning Questions
Volume and type of dust. A deep clean handles a lived-in home. A post-construction clean removes drywall, plaster and silica dust that coats every surface and needs multiple passes and HEPA equipment.
Not ideally. Anything we clean before the last trade leaves gets dusted again. We schedule the day after the final walk-out.
Yes. Grout haze on tile and paint spatter on hard surfaces come off with the correct products. Spatter on fabric or carpet is a different job.
Small debris and packaging, yes. Piles of drywall, lumber and tile go with the contractor's dumpster, not with us.
A bathroom remodel is a half day. A gut-renovated two bedroom is a full day, sometimes two, across the staged passes.
Yes. Contractors and developers in the Bronx who book us across multiple projects get standing rates. Email support@nyccleaningservice.com with the project scope.
